Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare: Activision Quietly Taking Down YouTube Exploit Videos

November 25, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Activision seems to be striking cheat videos more aggressively, but they claim there’s no change in policy.

Activision seems to have been quietly shuttering YouTube videos showing exploits for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

MCN Machinima sent out an email to their partners that the publisher is more vigilant about this compared to before. Channels that attempt to make videos with this content are likely to receive copyright strikes, so they should not even try.

Activision explained that this is just business as usual for them, and they do not want to tolerate any attempts at cheating or abusing exploits. They have made no changes in policy in terms of claiming videos, and are still appreciative of the community that makes them.

Do you think Activision is justified in using copyright strikes for this purpose? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
