GTA5 PS4 Bug Lets You Exploit the Stock Market and Make Millions

November 21, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Who says social networks are a waste of time?

A bug has been discovered in the PS4 version of Grand Theft Auto 5 which allows players to exploit the game's stock market and make millions in the process.

The bug relates to the game's Facebook parody social network LifeInvader, and requires you to buy up as much stock in the company as you possibly can before switching character, saving, or loading. Once this is done, take out your in-game smartphone, and sell all of your shares for a tidy profit, even if the game says you're losing money on the shares.

At the moment it's unconfirmed whether the bug is also present in the Xbox One version, but you can see it in action on PS4 below.

Grand Theft Auto 5 was released for PS4 and Xbox One earlier this week, and is coming to PC in January.
