Guild Wars 2 has come out with its latest major update. Season 2 Episode 5, titled Tangled Paths, expands with more story, missions, and more.
In the main story, the Zephyrite Master of Peace has left the frontlines of the war against Mordremoth, bringing with him a mysterious egg to the Silverwastes. You will have to track him down yourself, and confirm if he does carry a dragon egg that could turn the tide of the war to either side.
Taking to the Silverwastes means facing new creatures and dangers, and picking up new treasures. Bandit Crest vendors have new rewards to collect, in the form of nightmare fragments found in pods in the Silverwastes’ labyrinths. Each pod contains dragonite ore, rare and masterwork gear, and even recipes for turning crystals, sharpening stones, and bountiful and furious maintenance oils.
In turn, finishing the Silverwastes reward track, and completing the new story will allow you to collect the new carapace gloves, simply by finishing the storyline. You can also unlock three weight glasses of luminescent glove armor to complete the luminescent gloves collection.
The Black Lion Trading Company Gem Store has also been upgraded with some special items. You can now buy some World Tournament finishers for 600 gems to support your region in the upcoming World Tournament Finals. If you buy them before the finals, you get three celebration boosters after it ends. There is also a new pact weapon set and a jungle explorer outfit.
