Today marks Grand Theft Auto 5's launch on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Gamers around the world have no doubt flocked to their nearest game retailer to pick up preorders for the game, which features revamped graphics and an all new first-person mode. However, according to recent reports, there may be a pretty major issue affecting the online component of Grand Theft Auto 5.
Apparently, players who haven't logged in to the sevice since 2013 are having problems transferring their old characters over to the new games. Rockstar Games, who develops Grand Theft Auto 5, says that they are "urgently investigating" the issues and will be trying to fix them as soon as possible.
"We are urgently looking into an issue preventing character transfer and GTA Online login on accounts that haven't played GTA Online since 2013.

While GTA Online might be experiencing some issues on its console iterations, the PC version will be out in January. Until then, consoles gamers will have to wait for Rockstar to get GTA Online in working order. Really, you can just focus on the single player campaign for now, which isn't a bad thing at all. All that said, it'd be nice to have a game release that doesn't have a myriad of post-launch problems, as what we've seen with Assassin's Creed: Unity and others has been less than stellar.
