Way back in May, when Nintendo announced a partnership with Mercedes-Benz to feature its vehicles in Mario Kart 8 as free DLC, Mercedes celebrated with an incredible commercial starring a very beefcake Mario driving through a post-apocalyptic Mushroom Kingdom. Even though the DLC has long since been made available, Mercedes has followed up with two more TV spots.
In the commercials above and below, the same sexy Mario actor is racing through GBA Mario Circuit, only to have victory snatched from him at the last second. In one vid, the winner is Luigi, and in the other, it's Peach. I won't spoil what happens next in either.
Released on August 27, the free Mercedes DLC introduced three new karts based on the Mercedes-Benz GLA, W25 Silver Arrow, and 300 SL Roadster, along with Mercedes tires. They're much smaller than their real-life counterparts — more like Power Wheels than anything else — but you can't deny that they're classy!
