Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm Getting GUNNAR Optiks Eyewear

November 6, 2014 by Stephen Daly

The eyewear lets you show pride in your ‘favorite Blizzard characters’.

Blizzard's MOBA title Heroes of the Storm will be getting special eyewear as a result of the developer's newly announced partnership with California based computer eyeware maker GUNNAR Optiks.

The first set of Heroes of the Storm eyewear will be available from tomorrow when BlizzCon kicks off, and more releases are planned for this year and next.

Paul Sams, Blizzard Entertainment's chief operating officer, remarked, “This collaboration is all about giving our players a fun new way to show their pride for their favorite Blizzard characters. We're pleased to be working with GUNNAR to bring Heroes of the Storm from players' computer screens out into the real world.”

“GUNNAR is excited to partner with a worldwide gaming powerhouse like Blizzard,” GUNNAR CEO and co-founder Joe Croft commented in a press release. “We’ll continue to push the envelope of technology, design and fashion while Blizzard continues to push the boundaries of interactive entertainment. We look forward to truly great things as we begin to ramp up this partnership.”

You can find out more about the eyewear sleeves on GUNNAR's website.

Heroes of the Storm was announced at BlizzCon 2013, and you can find out more about the game here.
