Valkyria Chronicles was an unfortunately casualty of the previous generation. Though the stylish tactical shooter earned excellent reviews when it arrived on PS3 in 2008, those reviews didn't translate into solid sales. Sega decided to go ahead with a sequel, but for PSP instead. There was a third installment, but sadly it remained in Japan. All fans want is another opporunity for this series to shine. Will they get that with a PC re-release?
The European ratings board PEGI has let slip a listing for Valkyria Chronicles on PC. This seems to be a port of the original, so anyone hoping for a proper sequel might be disappointed. However, should this port do well, who knows what could happen in the future.
Sega has not made a formal announcement just yet, so when Valkyria Chronicles actually lands is still up in the air.
