Mighty No. 9: Third Beta Level Is Now Available

October 14, 2014 by Tony Ponce

Also, voice acting language has been selected, and potential DLC teased.

The third (and final) beta level for the Mega Man-esque Mighty No. 9 has been made available. If you were a Kickstarter backer at the beta tier or higher, you'll be able to storm the lair of the Mighty No. 3. She is the second female boss Beck will have to face, and her design is based on Raijin, gods of lightning in Japanese mythology.

Along with this update comes the results of the voice acting poll. As you may have heard recently, comcept was able to secure the necessary funds for voice acting and left the decision to whether voices should be in English or Japanese up to fans. English came out on top, but the voting was quite close — over 20,000 people submitted their picks, but the two options wound up being separated by less than 1000 votes.

As one final treat, comcept has uploaded a teaser for a potential DLC idea. The video above suggests that a Mighty No. 0 could be a villain that Beck tangles with at some point in the future. From the brief glimpse we catch of him, he definitely gives off a Zero vibe! No other information about the DLC was shared at this time.

Mighty No. 9 arrives in 2015 for Windows, Mac, Linux, Wii U, 3DS, PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
