Level-5 has Plans for North American Games

July 26, 2011 by Ian Miles Cheong

Level-5 has plans to create original content for its international audience.

Level-5 recently launched its Level-5 International America Inc. to branch out internationally. Speaking into a camera in a announcement for the studio's fans, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino says that the publisher has plans to create games for the North American market, and not just for Japan.

"Level-5 IA will not only release games developed in Japan." he said. "[But] we are also planning to create origin content for the U.S. The Japanese and North American Markets are quite different, but we hope to make innovative games that our fans in the US will enjoy."

The publisher is currently developing Fantasy Life, a non-linear RPG for the Nintendo 3DS, and is working with Studio Ghibli to produce Ninokuni for the PS3.
