Skullgirls Encore: Third DLC Character, Eliza, Is Now Available

October 1, 2014 by Tony Ponce

PS3 and Steam users can use her now, but 360 users have to wait a bit longer.

Slowly but surely, Lab Zero Games is making good on its promise to bring crowdfunded DLC characters to the stylish Skullgirls Encore. First came the operatic Squigly, then the musically gifted Big Band, and now the Egyptian-themed diva Eliza.

If you've ever seen the anime Deadman Wonderland or read the manga, Eliza is like the the titular deadmen of the series. She is able to manipulate her blood into various weapons and symbols straight out of Egyptian mythology. Her power also grants her eternal youth — sometimes while attacking, she uses so much of her blood that her body reverts to a much more skeletal form.

Lab Zero also revealed an early look at the next DLC character, Beowulf. Based on the hero from the famous epic, he plays more like a pro wrestler, using body slams and attacking with a folding chair.

As with previous DLC characters, Eliza will be free to download for three months. She's available right now on PS3 and Steam, but Xbox 360 users will have to hold tight a while longer — Eliza is still in testing on that platform.
