Fan Offers Scrumptious Cookies in Exchange for Fallout 4 Release Date

September 30, 2014 by Jacob Saylor

You know things get serious when cookies are offered as a bribe.

The Fallout series stands among the gaming industry's titans as one of the most powerful, engaging franchises of this generation. Fallout 3 revitalized the series in an unprecedented way and this has left fans wondering: "When do we get to play Fallout 4?" Well, before you get your hopes up, that information will not be made available today. We do, however, have an interesting dialogue between one devoted fan and a sympathetic Bethesda Softworks employee. The employee's name is displayed simply as "Steven," and had we been in his shoes, we are not sure we would have been so stoic in withholding information…

Just a few days ago, In the early hours of September 27, an anonymous customer sent an e-mail in to Bethesda Softworks. The e-mail read just a few lines of legendary text:

"Alright, hear me out."

"I am willing to trade 3 scrumptious cookies for the release date of Fallout 4."

"No strings attached."

I mean, these cookies were scrumptious, you guys. Not only that, but there were no strings attached to this offer. We have no earthly idea how this 'Steven' fellow was able to resist the sweet kiss of temptation. He is a better person than I.

Steven justified his non-answer by saying that, "I'm going to need some milk with the cookies though." I don't know about you, but I can eat a good cookie with just about any beverage, though milk is definitely the strongest contender.

Steven, stop being such a snooty booty and give in to the confectionary goodness of cookies – we need you to take one for the team.
