Batman Arkham Knight Q&A: Red Hood As Arkham Knight, Calendar Man, And More

September 23, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Our colleague CabooseXBL argues that Arkham Knight has to be an existing character in the DC Universe.

Our friend CabooseXBL shares his answers and opinions to some fan questions regardingBatman: Arkham Knight.

One fan pointed out that even though Joker passed away in Batman: Arkham Origins, he could still be brought back in a side story or side mission. In this context, the actor voicing Joker would be Troy Baker. Mark Hammill is busy filming the Star Wars movie, so it would all work out. Caboose does not think a Joker cameo in Batman: Arkham Knight is likely, but he decided it was a theory worth sharing.

Caboose will not disqualify any theory regarding anyone being the Arkham Knight. The only thing he does not believe is that that Rocksteady made a completely new character. He’s sure, based on the fact that Arkham Knight continues to be shrounded in mystery, that it’s someone who already exists in the DC Universe, if not Arkhamverse.

He does believe that the Rocksteady’s depictions of Red Hood and Arkham Knight are consistent with each other. They both seem to be beefy, muscled up characters, so this raises the possibility that they are the same character, but the jury is still out.

Calendar Man promised to Bruce in Batman: Arkham City that they would meet again in the future. He is likely to reappear, but is probably a side mission, and will not be in a major role.

Caboose also observed that Rocksteady has been oddly silent about any multiplayer or cooperative modes, after announcing a delay. Caboose insinuates here that these features are being added in, and are the possible reasons for the delay.

Finally, Caboose hopes Rocksteady takes a fan suggestion, and adds texture packs, such as a Batman: The Animated Series texture pack, as future DLC.

Batman: Arkham Knight will be released on June 2, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows worldwide.
