Hellraid Gameplay With Developer Commentary Released

September 18, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Watch a new incarnation of Hellraid’s gameplay with some dev commentary.

The makers of Dead Island and the upcoming Dying Light have a new game up their sleeves. Developed in the vein of classics like Hexen, Heretic, and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic comes Hellraid, a new title from Techland that promises to bring back the hack and slash first person medieval action of yesteryear.

The game, which was originally announced in April of this year, is coming to new-gen platforms and is now undergoing a transition to Chrome Engine 6, the latest version of Techland’s technology designed to take full advantage of the new hardware generation.

In August, the effect of this profound change was presented to invited journalists at gamescom in Cologne, Germany. Now you can take a look for yourself at how all the months of work has changed the game.

Hellraid is slated for release on the PC, PlayStation 4 and XBox One in early 2015. A Steam Early Access version is coming out this fall.
