Shovel Knight Has Finally Arrived on Mac

September 15, 2014 by Tony Ponce

Linux version is next, European and Australian console versions still cooking.

Shovel Knight is a fantastic game — we can't stress that enough — so if you haven't played this high-class retro throwback yet, fix that as soon as possible. But maybe you don't own a Wii U or 3DS or even a Windows PC. What about Mac users? Well, good news! Just before the weekend officially kicked off, developer Yacht Club Games announced that the Mac version was now available! Head on over to the Steam page to start digging up adventure.

In the same announcement, Yacht Club reminded us that a Linux build is next on the agenda. Now, while the various PC versions can be purchased and played by anyone worldwide, the Nintendo console versions are currently stuck in America. The European and Australian builds for Wii U and 3DS are still cooking in the oven, so fans are asked to hang on just a bit longer.

Shovel Knight is currently available on Windows, Wii U, and 3DS.
