Destiny: Learn How To Take On Devil Walker

September 14, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

This surefire strategy narrows the hardest level in the game down to consistent gameplay.

Are you enjoying playing Destiny right now? We have some tips on how to get through Devil Walker, the hardest part of the game.

This guide comes from three players who managed to pull it off with relatively low gear, and at level 25. This is the lowest level the game will allow you to enter Devil Walker, which is intended for level 28 players. This is not the only way to beat the stage, but it is one way that is proven to work.

The strategy is very straightforward. Each member of your team is assigned a position and needs to play a specific role in the map, as outlines below.

Position A has the clearest shot to take out the bosses. The player in this position needs to be outfitted with the most effective weapons, because at their position, they can do the most damage.

Position B is the safest of all the three. The player in this position is tasked with staying alive at all times, so that he or she can heal and revive the other players. This player can also help in the firefight with a well aimed sniper rifle.

Position C is the closest to the boss, as well as enemies that guard the center. His or her role is to keep firing at the walkers, and anyone in range, until they die. The player in this spot can switch places with the player in Position B, depending on who has ammo.

This strategy has been proven to work consistently after several playthroughs. The people who designed also explain that there is room for variation, but chose these positions with relative safety from bosses and laser guided missiles. You can read about it in detail here.

Here is an additional tip; when you pick up rare gear, make sure to hold onto it. Some bounties require dismantling rare or higher weapons.
