Destiny’s Upcoming Events Include New PvP Playlist and Raids

September 12, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Players will be able to undertake a high level raid in Destiny starting next week.

Destiny developer Bungie has put together a list of upcoming events for the recently released online first-person shooter with RPG elements.

The game is set to see a fresh new Crucible (multiplayer PVP) playlist available this weekend with the launch of a new mode called Salvage.

"Guardians fight to claim and salvage relics on small to medium sized maps in this intense 3v3 objective mode. Secure the relics. Disrupt enemy probes. Destroy the opposition."

Rewards for participating players include Crucible gear, marks and reputation.

Next week, a level 26 raid called Vault of Glass is set to open and promises players the greatest challenge yet. With all players capped to level 20, the only way to gain levels above that is to equip armor with the Light statistic on them, so players will no doubt have to grind it out a bit to gain access to the raid.

Rewards for the raid include raid set gear and ascendant materials.

Other events set to grace Destiny this September include Combined Arms and Queen’s Wrath. Players will be able to partake in the Iron Banner crucible modes come October.

Destiny launched this past Tuesday for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
