Diablo 3: How Ramaladni’s Gift Works

August 29, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Here’s how the newly added Ramaladni’s Gift works in Diablo 3.

Diablo 3’s 2.1.0 update adds a host of new content, one of which is an item called Ramaladni’s Gift. Essentially, it’s a consumable item that allows you to add a gem socket to a weapon. It’s a pretty rare drop and acts as any other Torment-only drop in how it can be found.

Here’s how it works:

  • It adds a socket to a weapon by adding a 5th primary affix.
  • It will not add any additional sockets to weapons that already have a socket.

Community manager Nevalistis explained the new item over on reddit and on the official BNet forums, stating that the item, like all other Torment difficulty items, can be found in the new Greater Rifts.

He did some checking to clarify a few points, in case anyone was wondering how to get the item to drop. Here’s what he wrote:

Did some checking in to clarify a few points:

  • Ramaladni's Gift is considered a Torment Only item and begins dropping in Torment I
  • It can drop from any source (monsters, chests, etc.) in any game mode
  • It acts just like any other Torment-only Legendary and follows similar drop rules

Hope that clears up some confusion. 🙂
