Uber Entertainment has released a new trailer for its upcoming real-time strategy title Planetary Annihilation along with an official release date. Players everywhere will be able to smash planets using nukes, laser, and other heavenly bodies on September 5.
Of course, many players are already playing the game through Early Access on Steam. In late June, Uber made the crazy decision to release the Early Access build in retail stores — this is the first game to ever do so, to the best of our knowledge. That's a lot of faith that a company expects fans to place in it. Early adopters can rest easy now that there's a hard launch date. Naturally, anyone who previously bought into Early Access will be able to upgrade to the complete build at no extra cost.
Again, the full Planetary Annihilation will descend upon Windows, Mac, and Linux machines this September 5.
