Square Enix Gamescom 2014 Lineup Includes Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris

August 1, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris will be headlining this year’s Gamescom for Square Enix.

Square Enix has confirmed its lineup of games for Gamescom 2014, which includes the first European hands-on experience with Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, which serves as the highlight of their presence at the event.

Square Enix will be present at Gamescom 2014 with more than 180 hands-on stations to attendees of the event, with a playable demo of the game mentioned above, ahead of its release date of December 9, 2014.

Visitors will also be able to experience the new frontline PvP mode of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, which pits three teams of eight players against each other in extreme battle challenges.

Also on display will be Nosgoth, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, Dragon Quest IV, and Dragon Quest VIII.

Square Enix Europe COO Mike Sherlock said: "It's great for Square Enix to support Gamescom once again, the show is growing year on year in terms of numbers and importance, and is the biggest gaming event in Europe.

"Our games showcase the impressive talent from Square Enix's Eastern and Western studios and our line-up has something for everyone – MMO players, console gamers, families, mobile users and PC competitive gamers.”

Gamescom 2014 is set to take place in Cologne from August 13-17. Yesterday, Deep Silver confirmed its Gamescom lineup—so check out what they have to offer here.
