Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor’s Latest Trailer Reveals Wraith Abilities

July 31, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Talion’s wraith abilities are revealed in this new trailer for the game.

Monolith and Warner Bros. Games have released a new trailer for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, exploring the various wrath abilities available to the game’s protagonist Talion.

For those not in the know, Shadow of Mordor is an action RPG that tells of a story within the Lord of the Rings cycle set between the events of The Hobbit and the first Lord of the Rings. Talion, the protagonist, is a character who was “banished from death and embodied by a mysterious spirit, is compelled to seek out vengeance on those who killed his family and left him to die.”

Talion is possessed by the spirit Celebrimbor, the greatest Elven smith of the second age. It is he who forged the rings everyone is fighting over. Through the same powers of dominion that he used to imbue the rings, Celebrimbor allows Talion to convert Sauron’s forces to his will and amass a legion of his own making.

The game is set for release on the PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4 on September 3.
