Hyrule Warriors: Sheik Goes All Ninja on the Battlefield

July 30, 2014 by Tony Ponce

And Gold Skulltulas return from Ocarina of Time.

The third announced character from Ocarina of Time, Sheik, has dashed onto the Hyrule Warriors stage in this latest trailer. With the swiftness of a true shinobi, Sheik uses smoke bombs, kunais, and close-quarters combat to battle her foes. She can also use her harp to trigger ninpo spells, like columns of fire or water. But can this be the real Sheik if Zelda is already in the game? Then again, none of these characters ought to be in the same place at the same time to begin with, so whatever.

That's not all for the Ocarina content! The Gold Skulltulas from the N64 adventure have also returned! Siliconera has translated the Japanese Hyrule Warriors page to learn that, just as before, there are 100 Skulltulas hidden throughout the world. When one is near, a spider web icon appears on your mini-map, and once you've discovered its hiding place, you'll have to defeat it before it runs away. Collecting a Skulltula token will then unlock an art piece for a larger illustration.

Hyrule Warriors will ninja strike onto Wii U on September 26.
