Risen 3: Titan Lords Returns to its Roots With a New Trailer

German based development studio Piranha Bytes, creators of the iconic Gothic series, are going back to their bases with the newest installment of the classic role-playing series Risen.

In Risen 3: Titan Lords, players will be able to fully explore the world PIranha Bytes created. Diverse and full of life, Risen 3: Titan Lords returns the series back to its original roots in the first Risen, away from the linearity of the pirate-themed title Risen 2.

To showcase the core elements of the game, Piranha Bytes and Deep Silver have released a new trailer of the game. Aptly titled “Back to the Roots”, the trailer shows off exploration, wide open environments, lore, and a wide range of characters and monsters with whom the player will be able to interact.

In addition to the new official trailer, the good folks at German publication GameStar have put up two Let’s Play videos of Risen 3 showcasing two of the game’s classes: the Demon Hunter and the Mage.

The game is out on August 12 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
