Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire: GBA to 3DS Screenshot Comparison

July 22, 2014 by Tony Ponce

Collage posted on reddit shows the changes between the originals and the remakes.

The original Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire launched on the Game Boy Advance nearly 12 years ago. The remakes Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire are set for release this fall. How much has changed in that last decade? Over on reddit, YouDontKnowThisUser posted a screenshot collage that compares similar scenes from both the originals and the remakes to give us an idea of what got spruced up and what's more or less the same.

Aside from the graphical upgrades, you'll be able to notice that character dialog is mostly identical but has been expanded in some areas. You can also see where certain events in the original game have been redone as more eye-catching cutscenes.

Check the collage below while you wait for Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire to arrive on 3DS on November 21.
