Speaking to Nintendo Life, Curve Studios' design director Jonathan Biddle talked about the development progress on Stealth Inc. 2 and mentioned a potential release target of this coming October. Stealth Inc. 2 is the Wii U-exclusive sequel to Stealth Bastard, a stealth-driven puzzle platformer that originally released on PCs before receiving a family friendly title change and arriving on PS3 and PS Vita in July 2013. It later received a PS4 port, but for the sequel, Curve is getting cozy in Nintendo's camp.
In the first game, you navigated a series of puzzle rooms, evading detection from roving drones while trying to open the exit door. In Stealth Inc. 2, these puzzle rooms are linked together by a much large overworld, with new areas becoming accessible as you acquire new items. Biddle discussed the planned level editor, in which players could create their own test chambers and share them online. He also talked about how messages you type in Miiverse will appear on other players' in-game walls — this is similar to a feature used in Ubisoft's Wii U launch title ZombiU.
We'll bring you more updates on Stealth Inc. 2 as they become available.
