The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us Listed For PS4 and Xbox One

July 1, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

If these rumors hold true, you won’t have to wait long to get these games on 8th generation consoles.

Amazon seems to have once again outed some game information the devs haven’t announced yet, via their preorder listings. So it would seem that both The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us are hitting both Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

Based on the listing, these new editions will have all the episodic content made for each game incorporated in. That includes 400 Days for The Walking Dead, and apparently this is labeled as the Game of the Year Edition. The Wolf Among Us’ cover art has a disclaimer indicating that the art is not final, but the fact that the listing exists at all indicates that Amazon is convinced it’s on the way for sure.

Neither listing indicates that the games will receive any remastering or upscaling, and based on the relative short time Telltale waited to announce it, we wonder if that is in fact the case. Of course, Telltale could have taken their PC version and used that as the base for these ports instead of the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. This would seem to be a sensible solution, and a good way to ensure Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions get higher level graphics than their predecessors.

It also seems the games are slated to release October 14 and November 18, respectively, which makes sense when you consider that The Wolf Among Us’ season ender has yet to come out, but will be releasing soon. Telltale has yet to confirm or deny these listings but we’re sure they’ll come clean with it soon.
