We detailed WildStar’s upcoming “Ultra Drop” content, The Strain, not too long ago. Today, its developers at Carbine Studios have released a new DevSpeak to talk about The Strain.
In case you haven’t been paying attention, the Strain is a virulent biological anomaly that has begun to spread across the planet Nexus, and has the power to change lifeforms into terrifying, mutated abominations. It’s an unimaginably dangerous threat and one that players will have to face together as they venture into the game’s new zones.
More than just a patch, this “Ultra Drop” contains a whole slew of content including two new endgame zones, the Northern Wastes and Blighthaven, with content for every kind of player to enjoy. Also, players will be able to learn more about the Eldan, swim through giant gelatinous blobs, explore new dungeons and collect sick Strain infected gear.
The Strain content is expected for release sometime this week.
