Minecraft Xbox One vs Xbox 360: Render Distance Video Comparison

June 25, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

It’s fair to say that Xbox 360 fans were given incentive enough to upgrade to Xbox One.

Wonderiing about render distance on the Xbox One version of Minecraft? You can judge it for yourself in our comparison video below.

Avid players on the Xbox 360 may know that it conspicuously takes a few seconds to render blocks as you approach them, to the point that it actively hampers gameplay. The issue is more conspicuous when you take in the air, where you can only see 100 to 200 blocks at a time.

With the Xbox One version, render distance has doubled, and yes, it's good enough that this is no longer an issue in the game. Without further ado, you can check out the comparison video below.

Minecraft has been a hit for the Xbox 360, and now there seems to be good incentive to transfer over to the Xbox One, aside from the cheap upgrade price of $ 4.99. Minecraft will be released on the Xbox One this August.
