GTA: Online Heists Have Been Officially Delayed

June 18, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Rockstar says they are ‘working hard’ to deliver heists to as soon as possible.

Included with the blog post on Grand Theft Auto Online update 'I'm Not a Hipster,' Rockstar confirmed that heists for the mode have been delayed.

After detailing the many cosmetic changes included in the update, Rockstar then went on to add:

"We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you this spring, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated. We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can."

The Scottish developer says that they are dedicated to ensuring the content they make is the best it can be and advises players to stay tuned for updates on heists and other content coming to GTA: Online. The delay was not unexpected given Rockstar's relative lack of updates on the implementation of heists.

Update 1.14 patch notes can be found here, including images of the new cars added to Online.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One this autumn but hopefully we'll know more about heists by then.
