The Pokemon Company has revealed four new mega-evolutions for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire which are Sceptile, Swampert, Blaziken, and Diancie, an imported Pokemon.
Mega Sceptile acquires the Lightning Rod Ability to absorb electric attacks and make itself stronger. When raining, Mega Swampert gains the Swift Swim Ability to boost its attacks and a higher attack stat regardless of the weather with the impact being seen most when using the fighting move Hammer Arm.
Mega Blaziken has an increased Attack and the Speed Boost Ability making it faster every turn, particularly when used in conjunction with Brave Bird.
Players who import Diancie into Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be able to Mega Evolve the Pokemon after obtaining the Mega Stone as well. Dazzling Beam is a powerful attack which will hit both opponents in double battles.
