During an E3 Twitch stream, some of the guys at Ready at Dawn sat down and talked about the extended gameplay footage of The Order: 1886 that they livestreamed quite recently.
Some viewers might be familiar with the video shown because the first part of it was livestreamed earlier this month. However, we got the chance to see an extended look and question the developers about the stuff shown.
One of the things brought up was the "black water" element in the game. In the video, we see one of the characters drinking a mysterious substance to heal himself. The developers confirmed that players will be able to use this for healing and regenerative purposes. However, it was other effects as well when used. It also enables the characters to access abilities for a limited amount of time as seen in the video.
Additionally, they also talked a bit about the weapons in the game. The interviewer wondered how they were able to integrate futuristic weapons with a setting like the 1800s seamessly. "Everything we build had some reality in the 1800s," the developers explained that the technology they created is based on existing inventions like a device from Tesla.
Check out the tense gameplay footage that was shown during Sony's press conference. The collector's edition and release date were also revealed yesterday.
The Order: 1886 is coming to PlayStation 4 on February 20th, 2015.
