We have new gameplay footage for Sunset Overdrive, straight out of Xbox’s E3 conference.
The Xbox One exclusive is looking bright, colorful, and way too pretty for Xbox. Just kidding of course, but it is genuinely refreshing to see this shooter eschew all the FPS conventions for a wonderfully entertaining aesthetic. We have a feeling the game’s ‘tude isn’t for everyone, but it’s great to have a little something for everybody.
This gameplay footage shows off the different gameplay elements in action, including amps, locomotion, and some shooter and non-shooter action. Personally, I think the game is looking a lot more like Jet Set Radio than Call of Duty, and frankly, that’s a great thing.
Sunset Overdrive is releasing exclusive to Xbox One this year. You can check out some of that footage below:
