According to a press release, Natsume Inc., unveiled a brand new entry into the Harvest Moon franchise with the announcement of Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley for Nintendo 3DS. It is expected to launch later this year, but will make an appearance in this year's E3 convention.
"In Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley, players will experience the role-playing farm simulation in a three-dimensional setting for the first time. The game has a fully customizable world, and players can customize their field in any way they see fit: from a field full of tulips like you might see in Holland, to a valley filled with water like Venice, the choice is up to you. You've never played a Harvest Moon game quite like this!"
President and CEO of Natsume was also proud to call the upcoming title as "innovative" while getting back to what everyone loved about the early games. He thinks it will be appealing to newcomers and hardcore fans.
The last game released in the franchise was Harvest Moon: A New Beginning for the Nintendo 3DS.
