Sunset Overdrive: Introducing The Weapons TNTeddy and High Fidelity

May 30, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Sunset TV is as goofy and retrotastic as ever.

Sunset Overdrive has an interesting batch of weapons to match the guns you can get. Sunset TV gives us the lowdown on what’s out there.

So, first off they showed off High Fidelity, which seems to be a vinyl record player that can throw out infinite LPs. If you were the kind of kid who didn’t care about your parents’ stuff and threw this around the house, you’ve got it made with this one. The records ricochet in random patterns, so it’s a good one to use when you’re surrounded from all sides to thin out the crowds.

And then, there’s TNTeddy, which is basically a glorified mortar launcher with teddy bears filling in for explosives. Actually, these teddy bears will do nicely, given their large blast radius, and broad, arcing range.

There is only one button for melee, and no combo system, but they do work with other actions and attacks. So, you can melee while grinding, melee after doing a Hulk jump, and use them in combination with Amps.

To distinguish it from multiplayer, Insomniac games has given single player a huge campaign, with a lot of side quests and content.

That’s it from Sunset TV, you can check out the latest episode here. Sunset Overdrive is coming to Xbox One this year.
