According to Origin's website, Battlefield 3 is available for a 100% discount on the PC platform. Users can download the game's standard edition for free until June 3rd.
The standard edition contains the full base game. However, it does not include the multiplayer head start kit, all five expansion packs, exclusive items, and new features. These items are available in the game's premium edition, which costs $39.99.
The game is offered at no cost as a part of Electronic Arts ongoing 'On the House' promotion. Similar to PlayStation Plus and Games with Gold, players own the game once they've downloaded it even if the promotion ends. Plants vs. Zombies is currently free alongside Battlefield 3 at the moment. Dead Space was previously available during the last promo period.
People can enjoy a blast from the past with this game before they hear anything more about Battlefield Hardline in the coming weeks.
Battlefield 3 is also available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 systems.
