We’re going through the recent Batman: Arkham Knight trailer and sharing some key details you may have missed.
This goes without saying, of course, but Scarecrow’s half hearted reveal is really suspicious, at least to fans. Some believe there may have been radical changes to his physical look, but of course, it could also be for effect. Either way, there’s something Pavlovian to how fans have reacted to this.
One interesting ability the Batmobile has is that it can drive upside down on the ceiling? You will make use of this ability in one of the Riddler stages.
This also should not have to be pointed out, but we never heard Arkham Knight in the trailer. That part that we saw where the Knight goes after Batman and narration is heard, that narration comes from the Scarecrow. Sorry if you already knew, but we wanted to make sure all our readers were on the same page on this one. Of course, you can rewatch the trailer to check if you’re skeptical.
If you pay close attention, there are some audio clips in the trailer of someone talking to Batman, asking him what he’s doing. It can’t be Gordon because he sounds young, and it can’t be Alfred because it does not have a British accent. Some speculate that it is Robin, and he’s appearing in the game, playable or otherwise. With the game’s scope, it can’t really be discounted.
Lastly, the trailer seems to provide more solid evidence that Arkham Knight and Scarecrow are working together. Of course, we know little about the Knight, but these little details could mean a lot.
First off, there’s a part of the trailer where Batman takes down some thugs wearing Arkham Knight-like body armor. The clincher here is one of the downed thugs clearly has the Knight’s insignia on his person too.
Now, in another part of the same trailer, there’s another thug wearing Arkham Knight-like body armor, but this time, holding a needle, presumably carrying Scarecrow’s fear toxin.
It might be a coincidence, or it might be a misdirection on Rocksteady’s part, but there might be even another theory to explain this all. You see, Arkham Knight might be completely a product of Scarecrow’s toxin, and Batman’s imagination. Yes, Arkham Knight could be Batman’s figurative nightmare come true.
