Saint’s Row: The Third is Utterly Insane

A brand new trailer for Saint's Row: The Third introduces players to the new city of Steelport, the game's very own City of Sin and open world sandbox.

The city of Steelport is run by the Luchadors, a gang of Mexican wrestlers that makes their profits off drugs and gambling.

The player runs through the wholly unscripted city where the player can run amok and beat people senseless with, in the words of the game developer, "a giant purple dildo."

Instead of having to start from the bottom, Saint's Row 3 starts you off at the top, as the leader of the gang and an ultimate badass. Not only can players blast NPCs away with assault rifles and sticks, they can also call in airstrikes and engage in an activity called "Tank Mayhem," which challenges players to complete as much damage as possible.

Like the previous game, players can wear a variety of different costumes and outfits on their character. Also like the previous games, driving is a big part of Saint's Row: The Third. However unlike the previous game, You can even ride a futuristic VTOL aircraft and blaze around the city while making Top Gun references. One of the vehicles the player can ride even allows you to turn pedestrians into human cannonballs by firing them.

Needless to say, the game is insane.
