Wolfenstein: The New Order Gets a Launch Trailer

May 15, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Watch the launch trailer for MachineGames’ new FPS.

Bethesda Softworks has posted a new trailer of MachineGames’ upcoming first person shooter, Wolfenstein: The New Order. Just as the whole game takes place in an alternate reality 1960, the trailer plays it up by having a German version of the song The House of the Rising Sun, with Nazis walking through Paris as they gun down hapless civilians. Needless to say, it’s pretty creepy.

According to the game’s story, the Germans managed to occupy France in 1959, which gives rise to a whole bunch of questions about their original occupation of the country in the 1940s. There’s no doubt that these questions are answered in the game proper.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is out on May 20 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Picking it up will also net you access to the upcoming Doom beta.
