Davild Silverman has revealed in some tweets that we're going to be seeing two specific marketing efforts to bring eyes to the female version of Shepard. The first will be a trailer specifically starring female Shepard, and the second will be both male and female versions of Shepard appearing on the Collector's Edition box art.
I've always felt that the female Shepard has always been the right Shepard, the correct and proper gender of the character. This is largely due to Jennifer Hale's stellar performance, which to me at least has always been leagues better than Mark Meer's work as the male Shepard. She really just seems to read her lines better, with more enthusiasm and emotion, whereas Mark Meer just sounds like he's bored and wants to go watch a ball game.
