Rumor: PS4 Update 1.70 Release Date Leaked

If this Facebook page is to be believed, it seems Playstation 4 owners can expect their next major update 1.70 this April 30.

The source is what appears to be the Sony Playstation page for Greece. We'll share what information they have provided for now and discuss if it is for real after.

The main news is System Software Update 1.7 is bringing SHAREfactory, which is a new video editor application for the console. As promised, the PS4 is getting a simplified and intuitive video editor which will allow you to pick out, trim, and combine your gameplay videos, as well as add preset transitions, logo, commentary, soundtracks, etc. You can then share said videos online. Now, it's not clear if this really is the official Playstation page for Greece. it does seem that they linked to the actual Playstation Blog for Europe, but based on what we've skimmed from machine translation, that blog post does not share this release date. Short of Sony confirming this ,regard this information as rumorsville for now.
