Call of Duty Ghosts Extraction Patch Gets A New Chaos Mode

April 22, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

There’s a hitch though; it’s only been confirmed to go live for Xbox 360 and Xbox One so far.

Call of Duty: Ghosts continues to receive a steady stream of content. Players who have the DLC Extinction can update their game with a new patch that adds Chaos Mode, among others.

So, from what some fans have observed, there aren’t exactly new casual or hardcore modes. What has happened is all episodes have received new Casual and Hardcore difficulty settings, for all episodes. Subsequently, in custom online Extinction Matches, you can now choose to play at Casual Difficulty, aside from regular and hardcore difficulties.

The changes to the Strike Package point system from online matches have now also been added to offline play as well. And finally, there is Chaos Mode. Basically, it features several rounds where you take on an endless horde of aliens from Extinction.

We know you cannot wait to try these out, but thus far, the patch has only been confirmed to have gone live for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, another hefty 2.3 GB download for the latter. We’ll let you know when the mode becomes  available for Playstation 3, Playstation 4, PC, and Wii U.
