Deep Silver has published a brief, but intense teaser for the upcoming RPG from Piranha Bytes, Risen 3: Titan Lords.
The CGI-laden trailer gives us a first glimpse into the dark world of Risen 3, which appears to veer away from the pirate-themed setting of Risen 2 and further into a Gothic-fantasy themed setting of the first Risen game and the Gothic series of games, which was also developed by Piranha Bytes.
Risen 3 casts players players in the role of a young warrior who loses his soul after being attacked by shadowy creatures. He must gain the favor of the world's powerful mages to reclaim it, in the process allying with and adventuring for one of several factions.
"Risen 3: Titan Lords pulls players into a hand-crafted role-playing world full of rugged charm where every decision changes the course of the story and your fate, and the fate of the world, is up for the taking,” read the game’s announcement earlier this year.
The game is set to drop for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in August 2014.
