Fallout 4: War Never Changes, but the Game’s Narrator Might

April 14, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Ron Perlman says he has no video game projects on the horizon.

"War, war never changes," are some of the most famous words in video games thanks to Ron Perlman's narration in the Fallout series but it's possible that Perlman won't be back for the next installment in the franchise.

This information comes from Perlman's recent Reddit AMA in which he says:

"Don't have any video games on the horizon right now."

While Fallout 4 hasn't been officially announced, it's well known to be in development although Perlman may have simply been trying to avoid inadvertantly revealling the game ahead of time.

Leaked casting documents revealed by Kotaku in December also seem to confirm this by saying the players will narrate the game. It's not clear whether this means the player character will have a set voice as in the Mass Effect series but it does seem to back up the idea that Perlman will not be returning.

It's also possible that Perman has already recorded his lines and was simply saying he has no upcoming game projects.

Fallout 4 is believed to be set in Boston and hopefully we'll get a reveal at E3 in June.
