E3 Leftovers: Katamari Amore Reveal

June 15, 2011 by Josh Wanamaker

Katamari will be making a comeback with Namco’s newly announced Katamari Amore, which was presented at E3 this year.

Namco was showing off their new Katamari Game; Katamari Amore on the show floor this year. Unfortunately it's bound only for iOS products (that would be the iPhone and iPad), so those of us with Android devices are just getting a big middle finger.

According to Dana Jongewaard at IGN, the game will have Pac-Man character and level cameos, as well as optional control schemes: A couple of virtual thumbsticks, and tilt controls, making use of the device's accelerometer to physically move the phone or iPad around to move the Prince and his Katamari. Sounds like fun! As a super-duper fan of the Katamari series, this news hurts me the most.
