[VIDEO] MAG Launch Trailer

January 26, 2010 by Gameranx Staff

Zipper Interactive releases a launch trailer to get you pumped for MAG

Those of you who are still sitting on the fence over whether to buy into Zipper Interactive’s 256 player online FPS MAG, released worldwide today exclusively on the ps3, a launch trailer is now available to show you what you might be missing on.

Check out Mag’s launch trailer below:

MAG offers five playable online game modes:
Suppression: 64 players of the same faction have a scrimmage match in what is MAG’s version of Team Deathmatch.
Sabotage: 64 players (32 per faction) fight it out over two satellite arrays set on two sides of the map. When the attacking team has control of both objectives, a third is unlocked in the center, and the attacking team must plant C4 inside the facility and keep control of the area until it blows.
Aquisition: 128 players (64 per faction) battle over advanced prototype vehicles. The attacker has to break through enemy lines to the storage facility, capture, and drive two of these vehicles back out to their side of the map. This mode introduces Squad and Platoon leader abilities, which include mortar barrages, UAVs, and chemical warfare strikes.
Domination: The reason you’ve heard about this game. 256 players (128 per faction) duke it out in a large (and I mean large) map. The attacking team has to capture three tiers of objectives in order to win. This mode has bombing runs, mortar attacks, APCs/Hummers, helicopters (spawn points, you can’t fly them though you can use the machine gun), hard to kill bunkers and more. When everyone is fighting for the last level of objectives in the middle of the map it gets hectic and you feel like you’re in a warzone.
Directives: This is not a mode in and of itself, but allows you to be placed in one fo the three game types in the Shadow War that your faction needs the most help on. Players receive an experience bonus for joining games via Directives.
