Monolith’s non-canonical game which takes place in Lord of the Rings land, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, now has a release date. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has confirmed via a press release that it’ll be arriving in October.
Accompanying the release date is a new trailer titled Banished from Death, which features the game’s protagonist Talion hunting down the Orcish monsters who murdered his family.
Pre-order customers will gain access to an exclusive Dark Ranger bonus pack, and a ‘TEst of Power’ challenge mode that sees players defeating Sauron’s captains to earn powerful runes and gain a head start early in the game.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is out on October 7th, 2014 for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Check out the trailer below, courtesy of XGN.
