Luigi Gets Armed With the Poltergust Vacuum in new Smash Bros for Wii U.

March 31, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Luigi sucks his enemies in with his final Smash move.

Luigi is set to come equipped with his Poltergust vacuum from the Luigi’s Mansion games in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. title for the WIi U and 3DS. Presumably, he’ll be able to use his vacuum to trap enemy players. News of the addition comes from game director Masahiro Sakurai’s “Pic of the Day”.

“Luigi might be thinking, ‘Who would’ve thought I’d get to show off the Poltergust in Super Smash Bros.?!” Wondering if it’s going to suck something in? Yeah, it probably will,” wrote Sakurai.

Luigi can be seen outlined in a gold glow in the screenshot, suggesting that he’ll use the Poltergust as his final Smash move.

The game is expected to launch for the Wii U and 3DS sometime in 2014, but Nintendo has yet to date the game officially.
