Dark Souls 2 World Map Cheats Guide

March 24, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Find out how to make your way around Majula, making your odyssey that much clearer, if not easier.

We’re sharing for you the world map for Dark Souls 2. Again, for convenience sake, we’re transcribing some of the details, with some additional information, here.

Everything emanates from Majula. From your starting off point in Things Betwixt, you make your way south, towards the merchant, and then turn to Majula. The area is surrounded by many important places and people, such as the mansion, the Way of Blue, Lenigrast, Chloanne, Rosabeth, Gilligan, and Victor’s Stone.

If you make your way to the Forest of Fallen Giants, that leads to the Cardinal Tower, and then the Memory of Jeigh, and then, via the Giant Raven, make your way to the Lost Bastille (more on that later).

If you go back close to the starting point, you will see two paths. One leads back to Things Betwixt, and the other takes you to the Shaded Woods. From the Woods, you get to a forked road, with each path taking you to the Shrine of Winter, Aldia’s Keep, and the Mist Area, respectively. Let’s break down each path further.

The Mist Area brings you to the Shaded Ruins, which then take you to the Doors of Pharros. From there, you can take a Boss Fight with the Rat Authority, or go to the Brightstone Cove Tseldora.

Aldia’s Keep takes you to Dragon Aerie, which then leads to the Dragon Shrine.

The Shrine of Winter unlocks after you either reach 1 million soul memory or you kill four Old Ones. You can then get to Drangleic Castle, next to which is the Throne of Want. The Castle leads to the Shrine of Amana, and at the end is the Undead Crypt.

In the path opposite the one that leads to Victor’s stone, you can find your way to Licia of Lindelt, after you’ve made her move. We’ve alluded to the circumstances that make here move in another guide (if you are fine  with more spoilers) but let’s just say here you need to make certain events happen to move Licia there.

In any case, before Licia moves, you can use the path she’s on to get to Heide’s Tower Of Flame. This place branches out into two paths, the Blue Cathedral and No Man’s Wharf. No Man’s Wharf leads to Lost Bastille, the same area you can get to via the Giant Raven. From the Lost Bastille, you can get to the Belfry Luna, Sinner’s Rise, and find Macduff and Straid, not to mention a Soul Vessel and an Estus Flask Shard.

So, after Licia moves, the path is opened up for you to get to Huntsman’s Copse (Note; believe it or not, the map got it wrong here. A copse is a synonym for thicket, and refers to a small group of trees). From here, you can go to the Undead Purgatory or Harvest Valley. Harvest Valley leads to Earthen Peak, which leads to Iron Keep, and finally, Belfry Sol.
