Introducing Armored Warfare, Obsidian’s Answer To Word Of Tanks

March 20, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

This MMO tank battle game will feature player versus environment missions, and promises to give World of Tanks some competition.

Obsidian Entertainment has revealed their latest game : MMO armored vehicle game Armored Warfare.

In Armored Warfare, you will get to drive tanks and other armored vehicles in combat against other players. You will be maintaining your vehicles, and you can keep arming and upgrading it the more you play. Unlike World of Tanks, the game promises extensive player versus environment scenarios, and so you will be able to play both competitive and cooperative online multiplayer. Much like World of Tanks, they promise continuous updates online, including new missions, tanks, etc.

The game is the odd original IP for Obsidian, most famous for their licensed work, particularly the Fallout series, and most recently. South Park: The Stick of Truth.

Armored Warfare is built on CryEngine and is a project of Obsidian and my.com. You can learn more and sign up for the beta here.
