Dragon Age 3: Inquistion Coming to E3, Here’s What to Expect

March 18, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Possible cut scenes, story options, and conversations will be shown in June.

New Dragon Age: Inquisition footage will be shown off at this year's E3 in June, developer BioWare has confirmed.

Executive producer Mark Darrah commented:

Started looking at what we are going to show at #E3. There is a lot of game to sort through #DAI

— Mark Darrah (@BioMarkDarrah) March 18, 2014

His comment follows the recent sprint review day – when BioWare's development teams show off what they've been up to internally.

In a series of tweets, producer Cameron Lee said that as part of the sprint review the developers had seen "cut scenes, story, and conversations you may experience. We haven't shown much of this yet but it's coming soon!" Lee is most likely referring to the E3 trailer.

In addition, he commented that character generation now works for all genders and races in the game with players having the option to choose a human, dwarf, elf, or qunari character. He added, "The face morph system is crazy powerful, you'll be able to create radically different looks."

Lee noted that there will be "tons of ambient NPC behavior reacting to you and environment" suggesting a more dynamic AI than we've seen in the series to date.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is due for release on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One this Autumn and we'll likely have a more exact launch date after EA's E3 showing. E3 media briefings are typically held a day before the convention itself begins, meaning BioWare will likely be showing off Inquisition on June 9th.
