Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes has a launch trailer, and it’s about as cinematic as you’d expect. The Hideo Kojima-fueled project – which acts as a prologue to next year’s The Phantom Pain – is available today on both current and next-generation machines, and the latest video showcases why you should pay attention to this compact experience.
Things go boom. People get CQC-ed. Snake grumbles. All the elements of one of gaming’s most popular franchises are here, but this time, it’s all condensed into a package that might only last about two hours. The discounted price eases that blow, but if you’re looking for a good way to spend a full weekend, Ground Zeroes might not be your best option.
However, it’s still a Metal Gear game. Fans are going to want to dig their teeth into the latest from Kojima as soon as possible if they hope to maintain a solid grasp of the narrative.
